Canadia, an Irish wood flooring supplier, has completed a €300,000 expansion of its Tallaght showroom and warehouse, increasing its footprint to 55,000 sq ft and signalling continued confidence in Ireland’s residential and commercial fit-out market.

The investment coincides with the company’s 30-year anniversary and is supported by five new hires, bringing total employment to 44, alongside a broadened product offering and a new national retailer training programme.

Located in Cookstown Industrial Estate, the upgraded facility includes an additional 13,400 sq ft of space and enhanced showroom capabilities aimed at both trade and consumer audiences. The facility incorporates dedicated consultation areas for architects and interior designers, reflecting a continued focus on specification-led sales within residential and commercial development.

For investors and developers, the expansion reflects sustained demand in interior finishes and refurbishment activity, particularly across housing delivery, retrofit projects and commercial repositioning schemes. The inclusion of a specialist lighting demonstration area also aligns with increased emphasis on end-user experience and product visualisation at point of selection.

Canadia distributes its products through a network of 500 retail partners nationwide. The introduction of a structured training programme for these partners is designed to strengthen product knowledge and improve sales conversion, with implications for supply chain efficiency and brand consistency across the market.

The company has also expanded its product range, now offering over 300 décor options. New additions include 20 laminate flooring products with enhanced durability and water resistance ratings, alongside new stair renovation systems and acoustic wall panel solutions. These products are targeted at both residential and commercial applications, including office fit-outs and mixed-use developments where acoustic performance and finish quality are key considerations.

The appointment of Debbie Farrell as Business Development Manager is intended to support further growth through partnership development and market expansion. Internal hires across sales, customer service and procurement functions indicate a scaling of operational capacity to meet anticipated demand.

Managing Director Charlie Hamilton stated that the investment reflects long-term confidence in the Irish market and a strategy centred on product innovation, retailer support and customer experience.

For the wider real estate sector, the move highlights ongoing activity within the interiors and finishes segment, often a leading indicator of broader construction and refurbishment trends. It also reflects the increasing importance of integrated product solutions that address both performance and design requirements across modern developments.
